And So Forth

Muse - Take A Bow

Still anticipating for the JPA shortlist to be released...
The wait is killing me...
I might have to miss 5 days of college in a row, if my name pops up.
But it'll be soooo AWESOME!
I'll get to visit the insides of a hospital!
Might be able to see some corpse at the morgue! How cool is that?!
I'm so super excited! Really hope I'll be shortlisted.
It'll be such an experience! Always wanted to attend this kinda stuff.
But this kinda opportunity almost never comes around.
So, I'm just a tiny step away...

I'll be back to announce if I'll be going.
Then I'll constantly blog about the daily experiences...
Gonna be shhooo fun :D

Feelin like a kid with a lollipop :P

[Edited, 1845]
Yay! I got shortlisted! Whoot whoot!
I'll be visiting Putrajaya Hospital for their 'Program Pendedahan Kerjaya Seorang Doktor'.
Hope it'll be as fun as it sounds *fingers crossed*
Scalpels and stitches, here I come!!!

Poket Full of Stars

Adele - Chasing Pavements

As you can see I've been trying really hard to update constantly :D
Doesn't take much time, but it does taking some proper thinking of what to blog about.
Found out that several unexpected people drop by for a peek... *coughs*
So, I guess it's really important for me to control my thoughts :/
Anyway, everything has been on a fast pace this week.
Thankfully I got a lot of things settled.
Finally passed my driving exam, after failing once on the slope.
Cost me an extra 150 bucks. It was a squeeze...
Aside from that, there's all this pressure on scholarship application.
Apparently the JPA scholarship that I applied for would release the shortlist for the Medicine program by Friday.
And apparently there's a recruitment running for 5 days :/
I'm still trying to find out what it really means...
I might have to miss 5 days of college, whole of next week.
Which is NOT GOOD. I'm anticipating Chem and F. Maths test.
Plus, Mr Goh is sweeping through the F. Maths chapters like a friggin gamma machine (ignore the geeky comparison :D).
I was already kinda lost for missing class on Monday due to driving test...
I can't bloody imagine missing a week.
I'll be a GONER!

Hoorah hoorah. Ain't life great?!

On the side note... I've been a loyal AmericanIdol fan :)
Haven't followed the reality show since Taylor Hicks won and Blake Lewis lost to Jordin Sparks
But of course hottie David Cook pulled me back to this gaga franchise :D but only right at the end of the season, during the final 3 episodes.
So here's the round up of my faves...

Adam Lambert

My first thought : Hey, he totally reminds us of David Cook...
But he's sooooo different compared to Cook.
He has this weird edgy way of performing that's so similar to Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.
Odd. But it works! I was instantly captivated after his M.J "Black & White" performance.
Although today's country performance might make a few audience feel slightly uncomfortable due to the almost-drag-queen-like-tone...
I can say for sure, he's definitely into the finals.

Danny Gokey

He's just a sweet honest soul!
And that awesome voice that he has, gosh!
I would definitely recognize him on the radio, instantly.

Alexis Grace

A small girl with a BIG voice!
She's got the whole package and it's IMPOSSIBLE not to adore her...

Matt Giraud

Love his voice, but he lack of personality...
But I'm drawn cause he has this John Mayer factor that makes me fall head over heels :D

I don't usually do a post on AmericanIdol...
But I really think that these contestants deserve a shout out.
This season may lack the OOHM... as most people say.
But there are a number of different and unique stars awaiting to be discovered.

Thanks to AI, I now have an add on to my TV addictions.
The Tudors on HBO every Monday night, is one of em :D
A sexy English HBO original mini-series (Jonathan Rhys Meyers!! whoot whoot! ) ;)

Anyway... gotta scurry off to finish my Chem assignment.
Boohoo...

Toodles!

Wicked and Wild Wind

Coldplay - Viva La Vida

It's so unfair...
Every other courses seem to have a week's break.
Foundation courses have 2 weeks!!
But I still have to attend classes endlessly =.=
all the way till end of May... "hooraah! hoorah!!"
I'm running out of fuel, seriously.
I'm such a prick for complaining about how exhausted I am most of the time xD
Can't help it....
I'm supposed to update about our party @ Laundry last night
but I've gotta get pictures from the gals first!

and ManU totally got their ass trashed :P

Shall upload pictures soon...
Now I've got a lot of forms to fill.
I hate filling forms...

By the way, MPH is having a warehouse sales @ Mayang Plaza (old Lim Kwok Wing building).
Books are bloody cheap there.
Bought novels like Marley&Me, Jodi Picoult's, and Cormac's for no more than RM15 each.
Serious shit, but you've gotta hunt.
Most of Jodi Picoult's and other best sellers are about RM25 (not bad, market price RM34.90)
For Twilight fans out there who have yet purchased the books, head over there.
The whole collection is out for sale with plenty of stocks, less than RM30 each.

Knock yourselves out.

Toodles.

Le Judgement Day

It's coming out on Thursday.
I'm so darn scared, my pants might blow off!
Shit shit shit. I have this bad feeling deep in my gut, I hope it's not intuition.
After leaving it behind for so many months, it comes back to haunt you.
Thanks to the press, it has become the topic of every conversation...
And all I can do is shut my ears real hard and sit in the corner of denial.
The day comes when I have to face reality.
Shit. This means I have to really start deciding what I wanna do to apply for scholarships...
I'm still all clueless and lost.
No point wishing "goodluck". What's done is done.

OMG. Can someone please pass me that Vodka Tonic?!
I've gotta spin myself outta reality...

If I'm MIA on Thurs or Fri, you should know I'm sobbing and screaming and prolly getting ready to jump of a cliff...
Happy Landings! :D
God... I'm so morbid... :/

"Not Even In the Face of Armageddon"

Simon and Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence

Love this soundtrack.
Took me sometime to figure out the strumming. Now I've gotta learn the plucking! :D

Watchmen was awesome!
Brought "superheroes" movies to a whole new level.
Wonder why I have never heard of the Watchmen before this.
Makes every other comic character seem like amateurs.
Love the fact that most of them are vigilantes fighting for justice.
And the political plot just brings a brilliant twist to the whole story.
I shall hunt of Watchmen comics now :D

Favorite character has gotta be Rorschach played by Jackie Earle Haley, who brought an awesome itch of darkness and cynic to the character!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan who was such a sweetheart in Grey's Anatomy acted as Edward Blake aka The Comedian, a total jackass.

Rated 8/10 for awesome effects, great soundtrack and brilliant characters.
Plus the amazing portrayal of history (President Nixon, the Soviet, etc)!
And not forgetting the gory details and blood splatters!
Totally gets my two thumbs up for gore!
Skip Dragonball and Streetfighter!
Catch...
WATCHMEN

my movie reviews are back on track! teehee....

Bring It By Me

Britney Spears - If You Seek Amy

I just lovelovelove controversial songs with awesome beat :D

It's Thursday once again, and I feel like hell.
Been drinking way WAY too much coffee, due to easy access vending machines :D
I might need to go for laser whitening sooner than I thought... Bad effects of caffeine :/
Nutty and I finally spoke to the leaders of the volleyball club.
We were facing withdrawal symptoms everytime we glanced at the court.
Of course I'm exaggerating! We just miss volleyball... A LOT!
Plus, I haven't been exercising much... Aside from the horrific stairs!
Funny thing is, I'm losing weight...
I'm eating more frequently than I used to, but somehow I'm losing the flabs :/
Maybe it's true what they say : the more frequent your meals, the faster your metabolic rate.
Or that's what people CHOOSE to believe.
It's not that Sunway's food is totally awesome or anything like that.
In fact, I DREAD eating at the cafeteria.
Choices are limited and the cleanliness is questionable...
Not to mention EFFING EXPENSIVE for its shitty quality.
But somehow we're all getting used to it.
I'm so waiting for the chance to drive, so I can at least head over to Carl's Jr @ Sunway Pyramid and make it back in time!
Punctuality seems to be a pretty serious issue...

Sigh... Time is flying by real quickly.
It's friggin March already and some of my lecturer's are starting to remind us of our mid semester exams in 2 months time.
It's freaky! I was expecting things to be really relaxed until after SPM results are released.
But heck no! Everyone seems so concerned about their test/assessments grades.
I'm almost failing some of my tests, and I don't even give a shit.
Which is why I came to a conclusion : maybe I'm not an A-Level material after all!
I should have just chosen the liberal life of CIMP (canadian pre-u).
They have twice the number of holidays that we have! bloody hell...
And I'm having way too many extra activities up my sleeves.
I just can't friggin help it! Everything in college seems so bloody interesting!
This is like THE ULTIMATE socializing level we're at.
So, I'm going bananas over all the extra stuff WHILE I CAN.

Okay... Enough about college.
Yesterday, I was glued for a couple of hours on YouTube.
Not because of Russel Peters...
Nor was it because of Dane cook....
Or hilarious parodies (I tune in to YouTube for laughter, beats taking Prozac :D)

It's because of this extremely "interesting" person.

Looks familiar?
Rings any bell?
Are you going "OMG, gorgeous eyes!" or "She's hott..."
Who's that you ask?

It's Chris Crocker!

"Leave Britney alone!!! I mean it!!!" *sob*sob*

Now do you remember??
Oh come on! It was all over the news a couple of months ago.
Okay, AGES ago actually. But I just stumbled upon a jaw-dropping reveal.

Chris is NOT a nickname for Christina, Christabel, Chrissy, Chrisasasa or whatever...
Just CHRIS. Are there controversial questions swimming in your mind right now?

It's a MAN!
Yes, with the dings and whatever dongs!

Freaky fan lying in a Britney "pool" (her/his claims).

This may come to no surprise to many, but I was effing shocked!!!

That's because I stumbled upon that video first.
Watch it. There're a number of pictures of what seems to be a hot blonde with gorgeous blue eyes.
Turns out to be a freaking man!
I was so intringued till I spent the next 2 hours looking through his/her self-made videos.
it'schriscrockerchannel - visit. seriously. it's effing interesting.]
knock yourself out.

The world's a fcking hilarious place to live in.

Toodles.

You're like asking for compliments =.=

1) The person who tagged you is :

ZhuoLi aka Big Head, a big mean ol' chap!

2) Your relationship with him/her is :
he's the bully and i'm the victim. hmph!

3) Your first impression of him/her is :
LMAO! this question totally brings back memories!
*switches on grandmother story mode*
about 4 years ago mr. big head and i were classmates. totally strangers, and at that time i wasn't very fond of chinese school students (because they were so rowdy, you've gotta admit that!) so anyway, i was the class deco rep. so, i was supposed to collect materials from totally reluctant peeps to display on our info board.
when i saw mr big head's article, it was a lil crappy and inappropriate xD so i gave it back to him. i was so shocked at what he did next...
crumpled the paper, grunted loudly and threw it on the floor in front of me (luckily not AT me!). so much like a female's bitch fit.
my first impression : what a grumpy fella! and those eye brows are really intimidating...

wonder if you remember this incident, big head?

4) The most memorable moments with him/her :
all i can remember is how much he bullied me! oh, and the time he taught me how to set.

5) The most memorable thing he/she has said to you is :
"*evil laughters* you're so short!"

6) If he/she becomes yr lover, you will :
die at a very young age due to high blood pressure, and possibly a cardiac arrest...
kidding laa

7) If he/she became yr lover, what should he/she improve at :
very ironic question... STOP BULLYING ME.

8) If he/she becomes yr enemy, what would you do :
creep into his house and secretly shave off his eyebrows when he's asleep xD

9) If he/she becomes yr enemy, the reason will be :
because i've had enough of physical and mental torture! (on the verge...)

10) The most desired thing you want to do for him/her now is :
shave his eyebrows xD nah... um... hmm, i don't know. what do you want, big head?

11) Your overall impression on him/her :
8/10

13) The characteristic you love most about yourself :
my free-spirited enegy and eagerness to take part in anything, including the extremes

14) The characteristic you hate most about yourself :

16) For people that care and like you, say something to them :
i love you guys! thanks for lending a shoulder for me to lean on :) xoxo

I'm not gonna tag anyone :) cause I know how annoying it can be sometimes *coughcough*
Wait... Tag you back, ZhuoLi, since you're so eager to do tags!

*sobs*
Jason Mraz's getting ready to perform right now, and I'm stuck here.
GEEZ!

Golly Bizzare...

Foo Fighters - Good Grief

Megan Fox is a MAN!!!

I couldn't believe my ears when a friend of mine cooly said that it is now proven that one of the hottest chick on planet Earth, is a tranny.
Looks like all those sick boy fantasies just jumped off a high rise building. Eh, guys?

So I did some research to see if it's really true...
Knowing there would be millions of envious girls who would just come up with anything.

Weekly World News reported :

Megan Fox was born Mitchell Reed Fox in Rockwood, Tennessee. From an early age, Mitchell showed an interest in both performing and women’s clothing. When having a preacher lay hands on him did not ‘cure’ him of these interests, his parents simply put him on the pageant circuit.

By the age of 13, Mitchell had already started a career as a female child performer called ‘Megan Fox’. Making her debut on an Olsen Twins straight-to-video release, the twins have kept his secret all this time.

As a sweet 16 present, Fox’s parents offered him sexual reassignment surgery, which, given their child’s career, they’d hoped to write off as a business expense. Unfortunately laws prohibit such surgery to be done to minors.

Since then Megan has been working non-stop, and been included on many Hottest Women lists in publications around the world.

You can read the rest from the website, go Google it.
I think it all started from the stuff she said at the Golden Globes during her interview with Julianna Rancic, saying "I'm a tranny possing as Alan Alda..."
Don't ask me if I think it's true or not.
Because I have no darn idea, seriously.
To me, if you take a close look, she does look a lil tranny.
But her figure kinda strikes out the odds, doesn't it??

I have to say, WWN is effing entertaining.
Although most of their stories aren't exactly true... but they have effing hilarious stuff to read!
For example....
OBAMA INAUGURATION UFO SPOTTED!
Wtf?! That's some funny shit right there *in a southern accent*
Beats reading the International Herald Tribune... (my GP lecturer's so gonna kill me if he reads this :/)

Geez... I'm supposed to dig into my GP essays, yet I'm compelled to update about a sexy bombshell gone tranny.
Been having trouble setting my priorities straight lately.
And I'm kinda wondering how on mother Earth am I gonna manage all these manics.
I'm being ripped off my time and ka-ching at every moment.
For today, I'm about to have RM150 ripped off my pockets thanks to being ol' panicky me.
It's too embarassing to state here. I'm still reliving that 2 minutes and figuring out how I allowed my nerves to get through me.
I doubt it was due to Long Island the night before.
Bet it takes less than 10 hours for that to wear off... Gee I hope.

So anyway, things have been the same ol same, except more workload and responsibility.
The musical is starting to kick off, and I've gotta dedicate more time on that.
My seniors have finally stepped down from a-levels student council, and it's our turn on the roller-coaster ride.
A semester may sound too short for service, but I heard it feels like a lifetime.
And I have no friggin idea how I landed as the assistant secretary.
Paperwork and Stephanie do not get along. I think most of you would agree.
Fingers crossed, I guess a change would be good. For experience sake.

I have so many things to do, yet I'm procrasinating at every chance I get.
Mom keeps pushing me to apply for scholarship as the SPM results release date draws closer. OMG!
Plus the IMPAC esssay writing competition adds on to the havoc.
A free trip to Dublin sounds far too delicious to pass on :D

Blah. I better scurry off.
On to another temporary hiatus.
I'll do your tag another day, ZhuoLi :D
Heh :)

U2 - In A Little While

My cool GP lecturer has a really really old BUT uber cool poster of U2 at his desk xD
Funny and weird fellow...

Tagged by ZiQian

Directions: Once you’ve been tagged, you have to write a blog or a note on Facebook with sixteen random things, facts, habits or goals about you. At the end choose ten people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don’t forget to leave them a comment (”you’re it”) and to read your blog. You can’t tag the person who tagged you. Since you can’t tag me, let me know when you’ve posted your blog/note, so I can see your weirdness.

Bury Em Fangs!

Jeff Buckley - So Real

Been listening to lots and lots of oldies lately due to the a.levels musical production...
I'm getting mentally old by the minute :/

All the Twilight fans are so gonna release em fangs!

Stephen King on Twilight Author : 'Stephanie Meyer can't write worth a darn!'

In an interview with USA Weekend, the bestselling author compared Meyer with J.K Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series.
According to Stephen, "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good."

But he didn't deny the fact that readers just LOVE the series because...
"It's exciting and it's thrilling and it's not particularly threatening because it's not overly sexual." xD

Mr Stephen "Horror" King (looks a lil too jolly to be a horror/thriller writer eh?)

Expected King to look somewhat like this... Dark and creepy-ish. (It's Tim Burton fyi)

But it's much thanks to King that I'm effing terrified of clowns.
I even feel like tearing while looking at this picture, I'm NOT kidding!

Been really busy with college lately...
Not in studies, but in clubs and stuff.
Can't believe I'm putting myself in this mess once again.
I can't help but involve myself in all these exciting stuff... Tempting!
Now I'm pooped!! Le tired! Exhausted! OUT OF GAS!
Waiting for the weekends to come, then I can recharge. Bigger things are yet to come!
Mechanics potentially gives me an aneurysm... It makes Physics easy as PIE.
I have Chemistry assessment test on Friday, which I have NOT studied for! Eeek! :/
And Sunway College stairs makes me feel UNFIT!
Most of my classes are at level 3 (2nd highest floor), and the elevator's not always available.
I bet we would have tight asses by the end of the semester!!

I would HIGHLY recommend those stairs to Jessica Simpson.
Boy, look at that ass! Guess we won't be seeing those butt cheeks as Daisy Duke's, AGAIN, anytime soon xD (oh bummer, guys!)

No, I have nothing against JS being all CURVACEOUS...
Actually, I think she's really bold, not to be bothered about her weight and all.
It's so superficial in Hollywood. And it's so typical of the media to bash her up on this issue.
Though it might be her blonde hair that's causing her denial :/
I'm not a fan of Miss Tuna-Fish-Is-A-Chicken (newlyweds joke), but I have to say she's darn gorgeous and the tabloids should just back off!!

I wonder if she could fit into those boots.... (okay stop it!)

That's all the crap I have for today...
Tomorrow's gonna be really relaxing. 4 hours break! Whoot!
Sunway Pyramid's calling out to me! Shopping spree!

Toodles :)

Cracker Moo Moo

Lady GaGa - Just Dance

As expected, I've gained a couple of pounds... Darn it!

Happy New Year peeps!

Thanks to absent-minded ol' me... I have no self-snapped pictures :(
Left my camera, collecting dust, by my nightstand...
As I proudly told Pa, "YES. The camera is in my bag!!"

I shall either attend a memory exercising class... OR, stock up on post-its.
Sensing that I'm a future Alzheimer patient :/

I didn't realise it was the year of the OX until I received a rush of MOO MOO messages.
MUST GET NEW PHONE! Somehow my very "outdated" phone failed to read most of the picture messages received.
I had to constantly reply, "Thanks. But I can't read your msg. My phone not so canggih lah..."
Embarrassing much =.=

Aside from foood foood foood and occasional booze, CNY this year has been a bore.
Everything seems to have slowed down in Penang.
The streets aren't as noisy as before. Festive lights are almost non-existent.
Note : People in Penang lovelovelove decorating their houses with NEON LIGHTS.
I guess recession suddenly drove them into a energy saving craze.

Speaking of which.... The new R word has landed in Malaysia, like finally!!!
It's about time Malaysians realise that we need to stop splurging on Gucci and Prada, and start saving up.
Note to self : Stop drooling on Burberry :/
Say "Recession", and most of Madamme and Datins will go "Huh? New label ar?"
Some say this time it's serious SHIT.
Some say it's no big deal... It'll pass.
So, now the world is drowning in a shit-hole of 'he says, she says'.

Whatever it is... I'm affected!

It's not easy sitting through multiple conversations of money money MONEY....
Yeah, I know. It's a common topic during Chinese New Year with all the CHOY CHOY CHOY and FATT FATT FATT chantings...
But somehow this year, it's ten folds!
My golf fanatic uncle actually stopped talking about Tiger Woods!!! AMAZING!
Seriously... If it's not about money, it's about Najib or Pak Lah.
And of course OBAMA... "YES WE CAN" :B
But mostly the capital R-ecession...
Year 2009 is gonna be one hell of a ride!

Even though all that money talk was kinda a bore... It's effing hillarious to watch my aunts and uncle chitter-chatter.
I have a very noisy Hokkien family. And most Hokkien expressions are exeggerated.
They somehow have the tendency to breakout into a hyena-like laughter at every single minute.
Not sure why, maybe the booze, but most probably the crazy Kee-genes we possess xD
Gonna miss em. Won't be going back till August. Tolls are effing expensive!
Speaking of which, I think the 10% off from 12am - 6am is effing ridiculous.
Thanks to that "generosity" there'll be a loooong line by the side of the busy highway, a few metres away from the toll booths, from 11.30pm onwards.
WAY TO GO =.=!

I hate the capital R!
My gambling sesssions have been struck out to nil.
Didn't gamble AT ALL this year. Hmph, no easy money. Bleh.
Partly because my cousins are all getting married and breeding like minks...
Kakis sudah lari...
AngPaus are getting lesser and lesser too.
Amount per packet hasn't changed (phew...!), but due to less visiting, less packets :(
Fire crackers have decreased too. There were some boom bam... but compared to last year, it's no match.

Jeez... basically everything has toned down! Everything but my eating habbits xD
Oh well, CNY ain't over yet... More food to come :D
Putting all these aside, family matters most.
That hasn't changed a bit, thankfully.
I just love family gatherings :D Can't wait for the next one to come around.

Till then. Back to college. "YAY!" =.=

Rolling Down That Heated Tar

Chantal Kreviazuk - Leaving On A Jet Plane

I'm off to the land of food food food food...
Where I'll become fat fat fat FAT!
Penang the home of Har Mee, Char Kuey Kak and O' Chien!
GLUTTONY ALERT!!!
Off my grandfather's... Where the internet and Astro are non-existent :(
Gotta carry a truckload of assignment with me too.
Got 2 General Paper essays to write, both 600 words! What's worse? Handwritten!
There's no room the rant about the rest...
And the minute we're back from our so called "holiday"... We'll be ambushed with tests...
If only my lecturers aren't so nice, I'll cause trouble for sure :p
After not completing my homework for the past 2 years, I'm finding it rather difficult to start xD
But... sigh... no more time to fool around...
No more skipping classes... No more dozing off in class...
This is some serious shit xD

oh oh oh.... and you know what?
I saw JJ (the hitz.fm radio dj) at SubangParade just a few hours ago...
His lil' baby boy was shooooooooooo cute!
Waved at him sheepishly, and he actually waved back xD
Oh come on... Give our local celebrity some taste of fame :D
I don't think anyone else really recognised him...

So anyway, Happy Chinese New Year to everyone
May you have a prosperous year ahead (despite the shitty recession)

MIA for now... Toodles!

Petty Auction

Ray LaMontage - How Come

Someone's gotta demand Philippe Scolari to shut the f*ck up
I'm counting on Abramovich to slap a duct tape around the man's piehole.

Totally lost all sense of respect for that man.
Thought he would bring a good turn around, fixing the horrible mistakes made by Avram Grant.
Seems like this a-hole ain't doing any better.
Causing uneasiness among the players, especially Drogba (though I agree he's an ass too).
Now he's auctioning off Chelsea's star player for Robinho!
And what's worse? Four of em for one.

Those up for "grabs"?

Nicolas Anelka, whom they just brought in not too long ago, and made great progress.

Florent Malouda

Even speedy bullet, Salomon Kalou

And another still in consideration...

Football seems like a joke to me now.
Thanks to clubs like Manchester City, players are being auctioned off like raw meat.
To become a champion club, all you have to do... Is GET RICH.
This totally depletes the whole meaning of "sports".
Somehow I'm no longer excited to catch giant matches, not like before, staying up till 5a.m.
Whatever happened to the "love" for football?

Bah. If Scolari ever dares to lift a finger, and place a price tag on Lampard....
I'm so gonna launch an assassination against him.
Nobody touches Lamps!!

Toodles :p

Searching For The Tickle Bone

I've finally found Peanuts comic strips! Teehee :D

Currently addicted to comics...

AND COFFEE...

I shall snap a picture of the coffee vending machine from my college when I can.
I know I'm such a jaccoon, but I found the machine pretty cool xD the cup popping out and everything :D
Whoever owns that vending machine is gonna be dead rich by the end of the year, thanks to me.

Just a random update. Feeling very lazy :D

Stones Taught Me To Fly

J Minus - Time To Grow Up

Life gets tougher everyday, but I guess that's the beauty of it...

I feel like bungee jumping off a cliff, just to feel that rush of adrenaline that sweeps all the emotions away.
I've been an emotional wreck. Jeez, I don't know...
This happens every now and then when I have a rush of mixed feelings...

College has been pretty good so far.
No doubt the schedule is HELL. But I'm starting to get used to it (thank God!)
I have a funny bunch of lecturers. Each have TOTALLY different personality.
The bunch of friends are great too. Although we seldom get to see each other, due to different programmes. Plus, Sunway is friggin huge. It ain't easy to "bump" into each other.
North, south, east, west, arghh... I still get lost somehow...
Starting to look forward to college daily. Was dreading it at the beginning.
I guess a change is rather necessary. A boat can't sail smoothly throughout an occasional storm.
Life's tough. Damn bloody hell it is.
I'm starting to feel the bloody recession, although people around me seem oblivious about it.
Food in Sunway is effing expensive. For crying out loud, we have a San Fransisco Coffee stand!
Imagine how tempting it is to pass by and see a a row of delicious sandwiches, stacked with CHEESE. Ah, it's a torture.
Another hurdle I have to face is taking the public transportation alone.
Well, not exactly "public", but taking a bus and not knowing anyone on it, yeah pretty much feels like "public" transportation.
Somehow most of my friends either have super patient parents, or have a car (lucky kids xD)
I have neither :/ but I don't blame em parents, traffic at that area can cause baldness. Seriously!
The stress of A Levels haven't started YET. Soon soon. I can feel it! EEK.
Tomorrow's gonna be a looong and grueling day. From 8.30am straight on to 6.30pm.
Jeng jeng. Suicidal X|
No, Sunway's not that brutal. The last 2 hours is self inflicted.
Kinda got myself involved in a musical production by a Physics lecturer. Yeah, you read that right. Go figure!
Physics. Music. The Sun & the Moon. My lecturer begs to differ, he can relate me both.
It's a fun thing. I was totally captivated by his motivational speech and his passion for music.
Never got a serious chance to involve myself in music, so I guess those shinny gates are screaming my name out loud!

So yeah. It's not all boohoo. Daily ups and downs.
That's why I feel like an emotional wreck.
Trying hard to stay positive. There are like tonnes of people filling in all kinds of philosophy into my head. My pastor, my aunt, the lecturers, some crazy friends... and the list goes on.
A single person does make a difference in another person's life.
Thank God for these people.

I need someone to flick me in the head and tell me to "Get A Grip!"

you're probably unaware of your inflicted emotional torture...

Penang Hokkien Mee Brought To KL :)

Advert

The Wok Cafe is now open to public :)

If you love Penang Nonya food, you no longer have to travel all the way there.
Just head over to Kota Damansara, the newly developed "The Strand".

Their specialty : Penang Hokkien Mee (known as Prawn Mee in KL)
There is no need to travel all the way to Penang to indulge in authentic Hokkien Mee.
The Wok Cafe's Hokkien Mee is like no other, served with roast pork and pork crackles (deep fried fat).
Come dine in The Wok's authentic and warm ambience. It'll bring you back to Penang.

Okay, I'm not much of a food blogger. So I kinda lack of all those flowery words xD
But do come try the Hokkien Mee. It's really aromatic and no doubt there's a secret recipe behind it ;)
The owner of The Hot Wok Cafe, Robert Yeoh (my uncle), originated Hot Wok, a famous nonya restaurant in Penang.
Today's opening ceremony had a great turnout.
People went bananas over the Hokkien Mee, ordering second and third round.
There was a loooong queue at the stall till late night.
So, I'm sure its worth a visit :)
The place might look pretty empty, because there are still many shop lots that are not rented out. But you'll find it. It's difficult to miss :D

Opening hours from 11am to 11pm

Let the Games Begin...

Avenged Sevenfold - Critical Acclaim

I'm so le tired...
Orientation yesterday was pretty great.
Sunway has a unique way of making the nerdy A-Levels programme interesting xD
Speaking of nerds, my programme has plenty.
And oh gawd, are they intimidating! I'm gonna have to compete with geniuses! EEK!
Today was pretty okay, right until they gave us our schedule.
Totally cut the fun out of everything.
I have classes from 8.30am straight till 4.30pm.
Like the Cantonese will say... "Loh mang' ah!!!"
It's kinda impossible to socialize with those from other programmes.
We can only meet through hallways with short hi and byes.
I can't even meet some of my friends taking the same programme as often.
SIGH. Why o' why on mother earth did I decide to take A-Levels =.=
Should have opted for an easy peasy foundation course.
Note : Classes only commence tomorrow :/
The horror has just started.

Crackles and Booms

Yael Naim - New Soul

Happy New Year 2009!

Obviously it's a very late wish.
Been extremely busy... Even that would be an understatement.
Got shipped off to Penang 3 hours after I came back from New Year's Countdown.
And it wasn't easy to catch any sleep since it was quite cramped, had to give my aunt a lift.
Attended my cousin's wedding. Will upload photos as soon as I find time.
Tomorrow's a start of something new.
Gosh, it's a weird feeling.
My brothers are getting their uniform ironed and transportation settled to head over to SCHOOL.
And I'm starting college. Not exactly excited. More of anxiety.
I have to fork out RM10k for course fees tomorrow.
Effing crazy, I tell ya. The minute you step into their campus, they extort you.
Well, sort of... Only now I'm thinkin "Maybe I should have considered Matriculation..."
Definitely not Form 6!!
All three of us are having Orientations tomorrow. Lil bro is heading to my old primary school.
Other bro is heading to our pathetic and dull SMKTS.
Already gave him the heads up on how boring it's gonna be since EVERYTHING is b-a-n-n-e-d.
Fingers crossed that he doesn't get Pn Santhi as a form teacher, I'm sure everyone knows why.

Jeez... I feel my tummy churning just thinking about tomorrow.
It's really a fresh new start. Gonna meet tonnes of new faces, since almost EVERYONE is heading over to Taylors... Over-rated, sheesh :P
Taylor's actually called me 5 times in 2 months. First two times were about the National Scholarship.
The next two was regarding their Open Day.
The final one was to check if I was gonna sign up for their course, which I replied that I've signed up for ANOTHER college.
The lady hung up IMMEDIATELY. Heh. Desperate much. Not that they don't have enough students lining up for their "oh-so-hip-and-cool" Sri Hartamas campus.
Anyway, I'm heading to Sunway (the so called lala college).
I have totally no idea what kind of people I'm gonna meet, so fingers crossed :/

Doesn't a year fly by in a flash?
Feels like school ended last week.
It's January now... Which means, a month till the release of the much anticipated Benjamin Button!

Plus a lil Stephay © self edit :D

It's already nominated for several Golden Globe awards.
Release date in February. WTF right?
Been waiting for this for ages now. One month left. Since a year flew past so fast, a month is worth the wait.
Yeah, I admit. It's partly because of Brad Pitt.
I'm one of em girls who goes goo-gaa over Mr.Jolie-Pitt :D

Anyhoo.... Gotta run. Still have a pile of things to do.
Sniffs. There goes my holidays *sobs*

Ka-ching Craze

Katy Perry - If You Can Afford Me

I just <3 Katy Perry. Love her quirky and sexy/sultry style. Come on, you've gotta admit. "I Kissed A Girl" is sexy... In a way ;)

ANYWAY...
Burberry Nova $595

I have this CRAZE over Burberry designs lately!
And when I say CRAZE. I mean serious CRAZE.
CRAZE = the ultimate desire to buy anything that has the Burberry design!

Burberry Black Check $1195 (OMFG)

I even bought a pleated skirt with Burberry design.
Not an authentic one
lah (durrhh...)
That's how crazy I am.
I seldom buy skirts, what more pleated... and checkered!
Now I have a problem with matching... Hmm...

Sheer Scarf $275

I almost bought a scarf that looks EXACTLY like the above for 20 bucks! *whispers* Sungai Wang!
But I passed, cause I have no friggin idea how to match that with a proper top.

Burberry Nova Tote $595

This would be purr-fect for a college bag!!
Simple yet trendy in a way.
Burberry Small Leather Drawstring Hobo $1295 (Are you effing serious?!)

And if you don't like checkers...
Burberry has simple chiq designs as well.
The ultimate designer ain't it??
Arghh! I'm totally bananas over it!
They even have umbrellas with the famous Burberry checkered design!!

I'm totally hypnotized by this!!!

*pictures stolen from Burberry's website* :D

Note : All the prices are in American friggin Dollar

My head's chanting "Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani!
Na na na na na na na....
Everything with Burberry tag on it cost half a year's worth of allowance.
Some even an entire year!
Kinda sucks when its always MONEY MONEY MONEY no?
Ah. If only money grows on trees! I'll be so delighted xD
Maybe this is the reason why I'm not born into royalty or a trust fund baby.
I'll be surrounded by BURBERRY!

All hail window shopping. For eyes only xD
I'm so heading to Petaling Street.
Who cares if they're imitations. It's the hypnotic design I'm crazy over!

Okaay... I'm starting to sound like one of those typical Shopaholics.
Eek... It's the MEGA SALES DISEASE!
I'm running low due to it. What a way to end off 2008!

Signing off~

The Holiday Cluck Part 2

The Holiday Roasted Chicken was a success! Teehee :)

So, continuing where I left off....

The vegetable stuffings.
There's broccoli, bombay onions, red, yellow and green capsicums, carrots, button mushrooms and water chestnuts (gives a next crunchy texture)
The capsicums are a must have! It's the most suitable vegetable to bake, it softens and crisps at the edges and are oh-so-sweet :D
Its better to stir fry the stuffing first. Roasting time can be easily shortened by half. The stuffings will be softer and the meat juicier.

After that just stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff! This is kinda the fun part ;) Since the hole was too big, mummydearest sewed it up. This is important to prevent the stuffing from flowing out when you're roasting the chicken.

Preheat the oven to 175 - 200 degrees Celsius, depending on the size of the chicken. The temperature should not be over 250 degrees, if not the outer part especially the skin would be burnt before the insides are cooked. Happened before :x

Before you place your chicken on the baking tray, grease the base with LOTS and LOTS of butter. Very important. I didn't spread enough, so one side of the chicken was stuck onto the base. Not a pretty sight when you flip over the chicken later on during baking (will explain later), ruins the whole glazed chicken look. Rub more butter around the chicken for crispy skin. Sprinkle a generous amount of Lea & Perrins' sauce. Salt and pepper to taste.

Already 30 minutes into roasting and the chicken still remained a nude colour. I was starting to get a tad bit worried that it wouldn't work out. But not to worry. It takes about one and a half hour to fully roast the chicken. I'm using a pretty old oven, so I guess it'll be faster for those new high-tech ovens.

When the roast chicken starts to look like a "roast" chicken, take it out, glaze the chicken with honey. I used the genuine jungle honey I bought from Cameron Highlands about 2 years back. Honey and Lea & Perrins sauce go very well together. Don't have to worry about too much honey, because it's all natural sweetness. Only start rubbing the honey when the chicken is almost done, if you rub it on too early, the skin of the chicken will look burnt.

After one and a half hour.... VIOLA!

The Holiday Roasted Chicken! Cluck cluck :D
I know it looks nothing close to those Roasted Turkey on TV. I'm working on the perfect "roasted" look. Still learning.

Thankfully is tasted GREAT. Loved the Lea & Perrins sauce! It went so well with honey. Oh yeah, forgot to mention... When rubbing honey around it, remember to turn the chicken over. Michael Smith said it's important to do that. Why? Simple : Gravity. When you turn the chicken over, it keeps the moisture in the chicken. Then it will not be dry but JUICY.

So glad it turned out well. It was my first time roasting the chicken using the oven. So yeah... The satisfactory feeling :) Made several mistake. Will definitely try making it again. Trial and error towards roasting the perfect golden brown roasted chicken :p

Laima came over with her signature Lobak. Her Lobak is absolutely to DIE FOR! Crispy on the edges and so soft & juicy on the inside. She has a secret recipe to it, all her relatives were asking for it. And only I know about it. Nyeheheheh! The legacy shall go on :D

I'm so stuffed. I love Christmas dinner :D
Next I shall try meatloaf and roasted beef.
Teehee... I love cooking :)

Gotta run now... Tomorrow's gonna be a looong day.
Davy's flying off to Aussieland for a couple of weeks. Leaving us to start our boring college life.
Boohoo!
