So It Goes...

Ben Harper - High Tide Low Tide

We're down to less than 2 weeks till "doom's day".
At this point I'm basically groaning "Ah darn. Just get over with it ASAP."
My cousin just brought over his PS2, apparently he's gonna give it to my bros.
Generous much?
I'm not ecstatic to say the least.
Because he just brought in the MAJOR distraction.
The box was filled with football games!
And the most addictive?

Seriously, this is effing entertaining.
I loved the movie, so no doubt I adored this.
It's cool to be able to control bumble-bee.
Really... I know it's a boyish fanatic xD
But oh well, for a girl who likes watching football, this should come to no surprise :D

This is by far THE MOST pointless game EVER!
It's a waste of time and brains.
All you have to do is just go around and start bashing people up for no reason whatsoever.
Like an idiotic mafia mission.
The worst part? My brother's addicted to it.
Nope, not Justin. He's still undeveloped to violence xD
Go figure.

If that's not distracting enough...

Release on the 13th November.
That's the day of Mod Maths papers.
Great ain't it?
Can't wait to catch it! Been waiting for quite a while.
The first one was hilarious. Adorable lil' mastermind-penguins.
If I were to watch it, it'll be in the middle of exam period.
should i? should i should i? it's soooo tempting :S

So basically these are all the MINOR distractions BUZZING around me.
And it's shortlisted.

Sigh...

Hang in there guys.
A month more and we're all free birds!

Somehow Peculiar

Joshua Radin - Mile

Time seems to pace up when you don't pay attention...
I just feel like a giant clock is about to crash my air supply.
As much as I'm glad that this is all gonna end...
I can't deny the freaky feeling I'm getting.
Geez... Soon I'll be asking... "What now...?"

Today was like any particular boring day.
I miss going to the movies so much till I might actually have a relapse xD
Thank God for the pretty amusing morning.
Went for my little brother's annual concert at Grace Kindergarten.

Trust me. It was bloody amusing.
They had this "graduation" ceremony, where they were wearing these adorable not-so-little square hats.
The emcee even said "Congratulations, you've GRADUATED!" like it's a really big deal.
Well, technically all the parents paid through their noses to "buy" that graduation scroll.

That's my pipsqueak bro in the middle.

Do you know it cost about RM3k++ a year to send your kid to kindergarten?
That's like almost RM7k for two years!
And now most parents send their kids for first year nursery and two years kindergarten.
That could easily pay for a year of Pre-U!
Like, hello...!

Anyway, the minute I stepped in the kindergarten...
I was overwhelmed by flooding excited parents!
They were crowding around just to snap pictures of their cute little "pumpkins, bobby-kins and johnny-boy".
So it wasn't entirely easy to find my puny little brother through the crowd.
But the minute I saw him I burst into a howl.
Nope, I wouldn't call it a laughter.
It was a freaking banshee screeching HOWL.
I laughed so hard till some of em parents were staring at me.

He got so furious at me till he didn't allow me to take a clear picture of him.
My bro, the one who never fails to jump in front of the camera at any chance, suddenly felt camera-shy because his big ol' meanie sister laughed so terribly at him xD
I know I know... I'm so so so darn mean.
But if you knew how vain my brother was, you would understand why I laughed my ass off!

This was after some "thorough" scrubbing and cleaning.

After a while I realised that my bro somehow looked so familiar...
Like his newly "refurbished" eyebrows totally reminded me of someone!

ARE YOU LAUGHING NOW?! :D

Alright, I shall quit picking on my little bro.
I would be lying if I said I totally HATED the ceremony.
I couldn't help but squeak "OMG! Shooo cute!"
OR....
"OMG OMG! Can I pack that home please please PUH-LEASE!!!"
There was this adorable kid that I wanted to snag home xD
His cheeks were like a pair of soft and fluffy steam pau!
I think he was about 3 years old. Still wobbling while he walks.
There I was wondering, where on earth did this cute little thing get his awesome genes from?
Right then I saw his "hott mama" pick him up.
Explained so much!!

Back to my bro's concert...
I couldn't snap decent pictures of the whole event cause some people are really dumb witted.
I totally understand that you're a loving parent bla bla bla bla
and you're so excited to watch your lil pumpkin perform a cha cha.
But hello...! That makes every single one of us!
The minute the concert took off, almost every single parent stood up.
Nope, its no standing ovation!
I lost count of how many times the emcee had to say "Please sit down, there are cameras recording from behind."

In most of the pictures taken you can see semi-balding parent at every angle!
So, for my next post I should probably write about symptoms of middle age crisis.
Or effects of blood sucking education expenditures!
Seriously, some parents are really inconsiderate.
You would expect to be in an environment filled with.. well, civilized folks.
Heck no. Their no better off than those "teenagers" that they always rant about being rude and barbaric.
The aunty sitting next to me even said "Aiyah... don't care la. Others are standing, we stand also la!"
Peeshh... typical Malaysian.
Monkey see monkey DO!

ANYWAY... The kids did a really good job.
Most of them were really sporting.
Although some totally chickened out throughout the performances.
I realized something. Little girls are much more daring compared to little boys.
They had this pair dancing, the girls were totally "shaking em thangs!"
but the guys totally stoned in pure shock.
One girl even hit a poor boy during a dance performance when that boy kept on fiddling with his buttons.
Darn... If only I managed to snap a picture of it.
It'll be shoooo adrorable!!

Sigh.. I'm out of interesting pictures.
My post shall end here...

Oh, before I sign off...
Little pipsqueak have a statement to make...

"Mummy, you know.. you know... I have four girlfriendshhh!"

Beat that guys :P

Crazy Love

oops. i almost forgot.
"Crazy Little Thing Called Love" was AWESOME!
My rating : 8/10
It was hilarious, cheery and heart-rending at the same time.
The cast was fabulous!
Colin Kirton

He was the most hilarious actor amongst them.
Although he only appeared in three out of thirteen scenes...
he did make an impact!

Jonathan Tan

Ann Choo

I definitely remember both of them too, they were equally good.
And did I mention how fluent they were?
It was great.
I suggest those failed to catch them at SIBKL, try to catch them at KLPac.
It ain't free. But I guaranty it's worth your money!
Visit their site for more info :)

And So It Is...

J Minus - Anywhere

Sigh...
Exactly 23 more days and counting...
The exam stress took off for hardly a week and has returned SQUARELY...
I'm gonna be a nerd for at least a month.
Hah. Let's see if I succeed.

So basically my daily schedule consist of double-S-E.
eat sleep study eat sleep study eat sleep study eat sleep STUDY!
Ain't life FAB?

It ain't easy-peasy, mind you!
Schedule's been so tight till sleep doesn't seem like a necessity anymore.
Because whenever I'm not studying, I only feel like watching a movie.
So my supposed 8 hours of sleep has narrowed down by half.

Which reminds me... Max Payne is out and I'm dreading to watch it :(

ARGHH! The sacrifices I have to make :(
Shut up! I'm not gonna sacrifice my movies and shows for nuts!

Did I mention that Gossip Girl gets steamier by the second?? :D

Shush... I'm already 2 episodes behind for GG and Grey's.
Not to mention, I have not seen a single episode of Heroes Season 2.
So shush... I'm usually on par with the states.
I have toned down A LOT.

Damn. 23 more days.
552 more hours to sacrifice... that's all it takes.
After this the REAL nightmare awaits.

Seriously I'm more freaked out over what's lying ahead after Ass Pee Am...
This or That? Here or There?
And people are already racing in to submit their trial results for scholarship application.
Here I am, dumbfounded and clueless about where to send...?
The very idea of choosing my career path just right after secondary school is extremely DAUNTING.
That's life, but... HECK!

My current dilemma : Taylor's or Sunway??
I have to say, Taylor defeats Sunway hands down.
Look at their fliers, facilities and even their website!
I need not mention the obvious cost difference.
No doubt Taylor's far more experienced...
But I think Sunway would have a better studying environment...
More laid back and less of a daily fashion parade!

Okay, now I shall shut up!
Just get over with this SPM crap
and Malaysia's RIDICULOUS education system...
Worry about the rest later...

I better scurry off.
I'm greasy and smell like lamb chop all over, about to be a scrumptious Coyote meal.
Note-to-self : Always think TWICE before volunteering to prepare dinner.

THIS IS A TOTAL UNDERSTATEMENT

maybe I'm exaggerating :D

Another Scratch In Memory

Damien Rice - I Remember

*sobs*sniffes*sobs*
I had to say goodbye to my first ever guitar yesterday :(

SOLD! For RM130 (Good buy isn't it?!)
to a malay family, apparently for the lady's younger brother.
They seem nice.
So I guess my guitar's in good hands...
Thanks to www.mudah.com.my
The site allows you to put up an ad, without any charges!

I'm gonna miss it...
A LOT!
Decided to snap as many pictures as I can...
It is of sentimental value, you see....

No, I did not really sob over it. Just the drama :D
Ignore the red nose... Blackheads 911 xD

Main reason I bought it in the first place was because I adored the colour.
BIG MISTAKE!
Got really attached to it, although I RARELY played it.
Cause' its bridge is way too high.
It's excruciating to play and everytime I lose the mood due to the pain.
yeah, I probably should have gotten the bridge changed instead...
but oh well, better to get a new one!
AND...
I need money to buy a NEW guitar ;)

One which is lighter and have a better tune to it...
if I have enough ka-ching... one with plug-ins too! teehee!
Any store you guys may suggest?

For now I'm stuck with daddydearest's old buddy
Sigh.

Around and Round

Jonathan Clay - More Than A Picture

Moving at the speed of life, we are bound to collide with each other.
It's amazing how time has fly...
In years to come I wonder if I would look at you the same way again.
Guess we've just gotta wait and see...
How I wish you were here...

Release of Insanity

Tadashi - Parades In Heaven

Lately I've been using MySpace a lot.
Seriously, this is THE best place to keep track with all your favorite artistes.
It's also a place for you to discover other band and artistes that are good but just couldn't make it "out there".

Discovered this band Tadashi from Illinois, United States.
I seldom listen to alternative rock, but this band's good.

Have a listen :)

Glimpse Within A Mile

Paramore - Decode

After 57 days,

which is 1368 hours,

that's 82 080 minutes,

friggin 4 924 800 seconds...
My "long lost" friend who flew all the way to Switzerland for further studies,
FINALLY decided to call, to end my endless worries

of whether or not he has reached safely...

and HAS NOT CRASHED FROM A FREAKING HIJACK!

Geez... seriously!

The endless worries people put me through sometimes...

Even his BEST FRIEND didn't hear from him till 2 weeks ago.

I have absolutely no idea how's Switzerland like.

Yeah I've heard of the Alps and mountain skiing.

But other than that, I know nuts about that place.

So, when I googled images of Switzerland...

OMG!

Ship me over to Switzerland, PRONTO!!!

I'm so gonna stuff myself into a FedEx box!

If his destination was to Czech Republic I would have died of a major heart attack...

I've heard you can never walk the streets without feeling a tad bit paranoid.
People who've been to Switzerland...

Is it really that difficult to find a functional public phone?

His excuse? "Busy
lah..."
Peeesshh... Pissifying!

Just came home from grocery shopping :D

I just love grocery shopping...

I'm just so amazed by the variety of sauces!

If I had all the money in the world to splurge, I would buy every kind of sauce.

BBQ on Monday, Oyster on Tuesday, Alfredo on Wednesday, Tomato Puree on Thursday and so on...
Well, you know what I mean... :D
Walking down every aisle gives me cooking inspirations.

But the minute I get home, laziness causes those inspirations to rot.

Anyway... My parents have decided to "boycott" Giant Supermarket.

Apparently their rice there is easily RM5 more expensive than the ones sold at Carefour and Tesco.

So is everything else. Not as vast difference as the rice =.=
But seriously I wouldn't recommend anyone to shop at Carefour, Subang Jaya.

It's like "skin and bones" over there.

Everything seems out of stock.

Then again, maybe grocery shopping at 8.30pm isn't exactly the smartest idea...

I searched high and low for rosemary...

Had no clue which section it was at.

Herbs? Organics? Vegetable? Heck!

And the worst part??

I'm not even sure how it looks like exactly...

So, in case you're wondering... I Googled...

This is R-O-S-E-M-A-R-Y

Felt like a total dumbass...

I swore I've seen it before.
And you wouldn't believe it...

Saw a little RAT holding it not too long ago...

Yeap, Ratatouille!

So, why Rosemary?

Rosemary Chicken

Ingrediants
3 large potatoes, peeled
1 (3 pounds) broiler-fryer chicken, cut into quarters
2 tablespoon of olive of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary

Directions
Cut each potato into four wedges. Place chicken and potatoes in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish or shallow roasting pan. Drizzle with oil. Combine salt, garlic powder and pepper, sprinkle over chicken and potatoes. Sprinkle rosemary over chicken. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes; drain. Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender and chicken juices run clear.

*coughs*

The Fifth Blood Drive

Jeepers Creepers!
Could this be the best one yet??
So exciting!!! :D

Jive and Glitters

Abba - Thank You For The Music

Step aside, Leonardo DiCaprio, Josh Harnett or even James Franco...
Make way for Shia LaBeouf!

I'm bedazzled xD *swoons*

I'm all goo and gaas over him right now *giggles* xD
This time his character is less... well, less of a LOSER.
In Transformer he was the loser who's lucky to get a kickass robot.
In Disturbia he was a loser juvenile delinquent who watches the world from his room window.
But both characters scored a hott chick, I'm just saying...
Anyway, in Eagle Eye, he takes on a totally different role.
I think DJ Caruso is trying to form him into an action movie star...
Which is definitely working!

Remember how dorky and plain ANNOYING he was in Even Stevens?

Well, he's all grown up now!

I watched Eagle Eye yesterday...
My review?
FREAKING AWESOME!
To say that I was blown away, is a total understatement.
Nope, not because of Shia...
Alright, maybe a huge part.
But putting that aside, the visual effect was superb!
And we went to GSC hall 2 equipped with ze awesome THX ;D
I was wincing during the car chase and explosions.
It's like you're there witnessing the whole thing.
Haha. Maybe I'm exaggerating :D
Even so, I totally enjoyed the movie.
Props to DJ Caruso.
Don't listen to those crappy critics, who slammed the movie with a C.
If you don't mind a slight tinge of absurdity, you'll definitely enjoy the movie.
Besides, we all go to the movies for exaggerations ;)

After that, watched Mamma Mia! too.

It was not bad.
Not as good as I thought it would be.
Cause' you know... it has standards to keep up to.
The Broadway Mamma Mia has raised the par real high for Holywood.
Anyway, it's an enjoyable movie.
Needless to say, ABBA's hit songs were marvelous.
And guess what??

Mamma Mia is coming to Malaysia!!!!

I AM SO GOING!!!

Butbutbut... Everything's that awesome comes with a catch...
This one comes with a loud KA-CHING!

Check out ze price!!

Yeah. Life sucks sometimes...
I'm still trying to dig through my contacts for promotional tickets.
Thankfully it's by Star Publications...
Know some people there, so hopefully *fingers crossed* I can pull some strings :D

Hah. So much for my short 3-day break.
I have given in to my movie addictions once again...
Can't help it...
Teehee!

The winner takes it all
The loser standing small
Beside the victory
That's her destiny

At The End Of That Tunnel

Snow Patrol - It's Beginning To Get To Me

So I've been thinkin a lot lately...
None of which has anything to do with studying :P
I'm actually more freaked out over what'll happen AFTER high school
than sitting for Ass Pee Am itself...
Seriously, what on Earth am I gonna do after studying?
At first I was so determined to go into Medicine.
I'm not afraid of blood, in fact, am very fascinated by it...
Been dreaming to become a cardiothoracic surgeon or a neurosurgeon.

Yeah, I can imagine myself scrubbing in for a 5hrs of grueling surgery....

So, let me break it down...
First, a minimum of one and a half years of Pre-U A-Levels
Then, take a 6 years journey towards a Medical Degree.
After that, another 2-3 years MINIMUM to specialize in surgery...
And that's YET to become the two most sort after surgeons, brain & heart.
I'm not even gonna mention about the total cost.
We're speaking of millions here...
Hah, well... Some dreams are meant to remain a dream...
But but... still pondering... really hard on it :S

So, what's left?
Pharmacist?

Seriously, I think it's a waste to do so many years and you're just a pharmacist.
And you can't even prescribe to a patient, only recommend.
Not that I look down on any of em, I salute em for going through all the years to be under-rated in the end...
*strike out*

Veterinarian?

Oh sure... Why not?? I have thought of it...
You're practically surrounded by cute innocent animals most of the time.
It's a pretty blissful job...
And you don't have to hear all those moaning and groaning when you stick a needle in your patients...
Sad to say, most doctors don't think veterinarian is a "real practitioner".
It's mentioned a couple of times in Grey's Anatomy and, if I'm not mistaken, also in House MD.
Almost like a pharmacist... After all the years, you're still much lower than a human doctor.
*scribble scribble*

What other sciences?
Chemist?

Future KongZhuoLi

Hah. I can't survive chemistry for crying out loud.
So that strikes out the single option, needless to say more.
*double strike out*

Astronomer?

Ugh... Honestly, it'll take me more than 10 minutes to name all the 9 planets in our galaxy...
Or are there 10 now?
See, I have no idea.
*crumples the idea*

Engineering?

No doubt, I have thought about it.
I pretty much enjoy Physics... but don't major in it.
And I don't find myself going all craze for legos and stuff.
Ain't exactly my thing...
*semi strike out*

Pilot?

Hottie aviator ;)

This one, I have once fantasized of flying a plane.
And since my dad's an aircraft technician, I basically gained quite a handful of knowledge about airplanes...
But ever since I found out that the main requirements of a pilot are : perfect 20-20 vision and tall.
Nuff' said. I have failed the first two requirements.
I'm blind (well almost xD) and vertically challenged.
Yeah yeah, there's such thing as laser surgery bla bla...
BUT THERE'S STILL THE HEIGHT THING *pouts*
*sniffes*strike out*

Okay, let's skip the rest of the jobs related to science...
Let's go on to the non-science related jobs that has everything to do with...

MONEY

Blood sucking Lawyers?

Gee, who let the poodle out? Woof woof woof!

First question, do you enjoy Sejarah?
Pretty much settles it right?
But no, it isn't ENTIRELY dependent on Sejarah.
Doesn't mean you don't to excel in it, but well, it has lots to do with hard core politics too...
"Mummy always say, to live a life of the purest heart, never get these two jobs : politician and lawyer"
You need to be an excellent liar...
And fight your ass off in court.
Not a world that I'll be able to survive in...
I'm not stone cold enough...
*strike out*

Accountant or financial adviser?

Future MeiShan

Three words... MONEY MONEY MONEY.
And loads and loads of NUMBERS...
I love Maths...
But to spend the whole of my career life behind a desk... No thank you!
I'm the type who needs to be UP and RUNNING.
I can't spend my time late till' 2.30am, busy jamming my fingers against the calculator.
It'll be a dread to me...
*strike out*

Ahah! Businessman or woman?

I remember swearing that I'll never get into business..
Don't know why exactly... Just never wanted to look into that field.
But people keep telling me I should go into business...
Frankly speaking, I know nuts about this field.
I don't even know what's going on with the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.
Okay, maybe that's just because I don't read the newspaper.
But looking at the economy out there, maybe this could be a field to excel in...
*adds on list*

Last but not least, anything that has to do with Hospitality...
There's ze Chef?

Future ChienLung

Oh I wish I wish I wish...
I'm so passionate about food but not gifted with a talent to invent those lavishing flavours...
If only I am, this is the field I'm 100% sure I'll be into.
Been having this CRAZY dream of opening a restaurant in Paris.
Right where you can see the Eiffel Tower...
Ahh... Romantico!
*coughs coughs*
Yes, I do fantasize A LOT :D

I was interviewed by a Chef at Taylor's last Saturday.
One of his question was why don't I pick Culinary Arts instead (something like that).
Then I just answered that I have the passion in food but lack of the God given talent.
He simply cut in, and guess what he said?
"You mean you only have the passion in EATING the food?"
Ouch ouch. I got burned... It's not like I'm a doubleXL!
I couldn't help but laughed at his coment xD

So that's why I thought of Hotel Management...

No not BELLBOY xD
*ahems* My tips, Sir?

This is where reality kicks in.
More of what I'm capable of doing.
The cost of studying, not too bad.
With scholarships available, it's very affordable.
You get to do industrial training in FRANCE if you take the course from Taylors! *screams*
And this field require a LOT of people skills.
So it's basically a skill-based job.
Unlike those conventional jobs that requires lot of books books books.
This field is all about industrial training and experience.
One which I think I can go far in.
And think about all the beautiful and fancy 5-star hotels to work in.
Or that feeling where a satisfied customer gives you a thumbs up...
With TIPS, if you're eyeing more on money ;)

The downside? If the economy plummets, this field is the first to get flushed down the bowl.
Yeah well, you can "jump ship". But the matter is, how high or far can you go?
There is always a possibility of global economy crisis...
So, it's a risk.
Plus, I have an uncle who told me that "You're paying so much to RUIN your future" when he found out I had my eye on this field.
This field faces the same problem as Mass Communication.
Everyone thinks its a shitass field that lands you JOBLESS.

Well, listen up...
The main reason why so many of em are jobless is because they fail to impress the employers during their job interview.
Not because of their certification.
If they are excellent and succeed in sweeping feet and turning heads during the interview,
there'll be tonnes of rich people in this world.
But of course, there's space for the jobless and so happen people from this field fits in...
So, to all the close-minded parents...
STOP THINKING THAT THIS IS A SHITTASS FIELD!

That's all I have to say :D

Okay, I've pretty much ranted a whole load.
Gotta run...
Toodles.
